Since 2020, the CPS has entered into a structural partnership with CPL, a professional network of leaders within the Belgian police force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collaboration is expressed in the joint organization of conferences via the Blue Academy platform in collaboration with Vanden Broele Publishers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dutch Society and Security Foundation<\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The Dutch Society and Security Foundation (SMV) was founded in 1986 as an independent organization that studies security issues at the interface between society and the police. The foundation wants to know which problems in society are considered important by both business and non-profit organizations as well as citizens, and which problems are considered important by the government (administration, police and justice, special investigation services). The SMV operates in all areas of security in which the police operate or which are important to the police. Sometimes very practical (e.g. experiments with police work at neighborhood level), sometimes abstract (e.g. carrying out a general analysis of the police).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its mission is to contribute to the public discussion on improving security (care) in the broadest, among other things, by formulating opinions on important themes, by bringing parties together, by stimulating innovation, by organizing conferences, symposia and exchange programs and by providing background information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to their parallel mission and objectives, the CPS and the SMV occasionally work closely together.<\/s> For example, the SMV is part of the selection commission of the CPS-thesis prize. The CPS and SMV occasionally organize joint activities. There is also cooperation in the field of scientific research and publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dankzij hun gelijklopende missie en doelstellingen werken het CPS en de SMV nauw samen. Zo maakt de SMV deel uit van de selectiecommissie van de CPS-prijs voor het beste Nederlandstalige eindwerk en organiseren zij bij soms gezamenlijke activiteiten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
